ਇਸਲਾਮਾਂਬਾਦ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਜੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗਿਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਗਿਰੋਹ ਦੇ 05 ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ 03 ਪਿਸਟਲ (.32 ਬੋਰ) ਅਤੇ 30 ਰੌਂਦ ਜਿੰਦਾ (.32 ਬੋਰ) ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਹਾਮਣੇ ਆਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਮੁਕੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਉਰਫ ਮੁੱਖੂ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਅਸਲਾ ਐਕਟ ਅਧੀਨ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 06 ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦਰਜ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਹਨ।
ਫੜੇ ਗਏ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਬੈਕਵਰਡ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਰਵਰਡ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।
Under the campaign to make Punjab a crime-free state, PS Islamabad of Commissionerate Police Amritsar busted inter-state arms smuggling gang. 05 members of the gang were arrested and 03 pistols (.32 bore) along with 30 live cartridges (.32 bore) were recovered from their possession. During interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that already 06 FIRs has been registered against the accused Mukesh Kumar alias Mukhu, under the Arms Act in various Police Stations of Rajasthan.
Further investigation is being done to find out the backward and forward links of the arrested accused.
