NIA gets new IG

Vinay Kumar , a 2004 batch IPS Officer has been appointed as Inspector General in National Investigation Agency ( NIA ) on deputation basis.He has been effectively involved in a number of successful anti- maoist and anti – terrorist operations , including the prize catch of Yasin Bhatkal , co – founder of Indian Mujahideen. His induction at the IG level is expected to further strengthen the agency’s leadership in handling complex issues related to National Security.
