Pathankot Punjab, Report Samir Gupta Bureau Chief: The power supplied by Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd increased roughly by 25% ( its now 10385 MUs in July against 8272 MUs during the same period last year) . It is due to deficit rainfall coupled with hot & humid weather. A senior PSPCL official said there were rotational cuts of different duration in different cities of the State to manage the situation during the peak demand — but these were minimal, he stated.
