Report by Samir Gupta Bureau Chief – The renovation work of Pathankot Main Railway Station of historical importance is going on in full swing. Earlier, the beautification work of the inner part of the railway station i.e. platform was done many times but the renovation work of the outer part of the station is being done after a long time. It is worth noting that now most of the trains on long routes pass through Pathankot Cantt Railway Station, so the movement on the main station has reduced considerably and this is directly affecting the business somewhere. The renovation work of the main railway station is commendable — we request the Honorable Railway Minister through our medium that in view of the regional importance of Pathankot city, super fast trains should be run from the main station to Mumbai, Calcutta, Patna and Delhi.
